Benevolent Relief Services

Supporting people experiencing isolation, emotional distress and barriers to community connection

At Community Connect Hub INC, we believe no person should have to face significant loneliness, emotional distress, cultural disconnection or limited support networks without access to a safe and supportive community.

Our benevolent relief services are designed for people experiencing genuine need, including social isolation, reduced mental wellbeing, emotional distress, cultural barriers, unfamiliarity with local support services, or difficulty forming meaningful community connections.

Through inclusive wellbeing programs, supported social participation, information and referral pathways, and connection-focused activities, we aim to reduce distress, strengthen belonging and help people access the support they need.

Our Purpose

Community Connect Hub INC provides community-based benevolent relief for people experiencing distress, disadvantage or barriers that significantly affect their wellbeing and ability to connect with others.

Our services focus on:

   •    reducing social isolation and loneliness

   •    supporting emotional wellbeing and meaningful connection

   •    supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities who experience isolation or barriers to support

   •    supporting international students experiencing loneliness, emotional distress or cultural adjustment challenges

   •    providing pathways to further community and wellbeing services where a person needs additional assistance

Our benevolent relief services are directed towards people experiencing genuine need. General community activities may support awareness and inclusion; however, our relief-focused services prioritise individuals experiencing distress, disadvantage or significant social isolation.

Who We Support

Our benevolent relief services are intended for adults and community members experiencing one or more of the following:

   •    significant loneliness or social isolation

   •    emotional distress or reduced mental wellbeing

   •    limited family, friendship or community support networks

   •    cultural or language barriers contributing to isolation or difficulty accessing support

   •    adjustment challenges after relocating to Australia or entering a new community

   •    reduced confidence or connection following difficult personal circumstances

   •    a need for safe social participation, supportive community connection or referral to additional services

Support is based on each person’s needs and our organisation’s capacity to assist. A person may contact us directly, be referred by another service or be connected through community outreach.

How We Provide Benevolent Relief

1. Social Connection and Isolation Relief Programs

We provide welcoming and supported opportunities for people experiencing loneliness or social isolation to connect with others in a safe, inclusive and respectful setting.

These programs may include small-group social connection activities, facilitated community gatherings, wellbeing conversations and community participation opportunities designed to help people feel less alone, strengthen confidence and develop meaningful support networks.

Accessing Our Benevolent Relief Services

People can access support through:

   •    self-referral

   •    referral by family members or trusted supporters, with appropriate consent

   •    referral from a community organisation, education provider, support service or health and wellbeing service

   •    community outreach and engagement activities

When a person contacts us, we may ask simple questions about their circumstances, current concerns and support needs. This helps us understand whether our benevolent relief services are suitable and how we may assist within our capacity.

Where a person’s needs are outside our service scope, or require urgent or specialised assistance, we will guide them towards a more appropriate service where possible.
